Bloomington Downs Golf Club
Played On 11/10/2020Still in good dhape
The course condition was still in good shape. Some leaves on fairways but overall speaking acceptable. Pace a bit slow as more players around in this hood weather. Able to complete the round in a bit over four hours. Staff is polite n friendly. It’s good that can still enjoy a round of golf at this late season.
Sleepy Hollow Country Club
Played On 10/26/2020Wet but still playable
Upon arrival, was told cannot use power cart due to wet condition. Has to walk which is quite tough for 65+ years old guy and not used to walk this somewhat hilly course. Several holes are quite wet but overall speaking still not too bad. Pace was good as not too many players at this time of cold n wet season. Many singles n twosome so can finish in less than four hours. This course is well maintained and leaves are blown clean making finding the balls easier and quicken the pace. Fairways n greens are in good condition and with the fine weather, still a good day to enjoy the outdoor.
Richmond Hill Golf Club
Played On 10/20/2020Quite wet and plenty of leaves
The wet condition and the autumn leaves made this course less enjoyable. Think can do better if the leaves are blown clean as almost impossible to find balls with those thick wet leaves around. Fairways n greens are still ok at this time of season and pace is fine as not many players around. Can finish within four hours.
Bradford Highlands Golf Club
Played On 10/09/2020Rain helped to improve the course
The recent rain helped to soften the fairways a bit. Greens very fast and not easy to putt.Check in is fast and staffs are very friendly. Pace is acceptable as most players are using power carts and roughs are cut short therefore easier to locate balls. The price is on the high side for such a course.
Hi, thank you so much for leaving us with your feedback. We value our customer experience, so your review is important to us. We will make note and we hope to see you back at Bradford Highlands Golf Club!
Mill Run Golf Club - Championship Grist/Wheel Course
Played On 10/05/2020A good course worth playing
Course still in good shape with well maintained fairways n greens. Leaves cleaning up pretty good n rough cut short making finding the balls easier n speed up play. Staff very polite n well mannered making the check in quick n easy. Have to express my appreciation to them. Weather is very good today n the course is fully occupied so pace is a bit slow but still acceptable. The fall view with the colourful autumn leaves is one selling point of this course. One can enjoy a good round of golf n viewing the colourful autumn leaves at the same time.
Mill Run Golf Club - Championship Grist/Wheel Course
Played On 09/15/2020A Good Couse with friendly staff
Course is in good shape and the staff is friendly with smily face. Check in was quick and easy. Fairways and greens are up to standard and saw the maintenance staff doing a good job to repair the tee platform. Pace a bit slow but acceptable and roughs cut short making finding the ball easier. Overall, a good course worth playing again.
Club at Bond Head - North
Played On 08/31/2020Pretty hilly course
Today is quite windy so playing this hilly course is more difficult. Power cart was included and is a must. Fairways and greens are good but not the bunkers. The hilly contour provided great views but it also made going up and down the greens quite demanding. Pace is acceptable and staffs are friendly. Rough is not forgiving so try to avoid them if you can as finding your balls probably is very difficult. Blue tee is around 6,000 yards+ and many holes require carry so prepare to face that challenge. Overall is a good course except the hilly contour makes it less entertaining.
Pickering Glen Golf Club
Played On 08/19/2020A moderate course
Course is maintained fairly well but direction for some holes are missing and sometimes got lost. Rough cut short making finding balls easier and can speed up play. Not a difficult course and also not very long. Pace was a bit slow but still acceptable. Power cart has a plastic sheet in between as separation so two can ride on same cart. Personally still prefer single rider.
Bloomington Downs Golf Club
Played On 08/13/2020A good course for leisure play
Haven't played this course for many years and found it much better than before. very well maintained even in this dry weather. Fairways and greens are good and the roughs are all cut short making it easier to find the balls which helped the pace. Not a difficult course as the fairways are quite wide and forgiving and is just around 6,000 yards with few hazards. Easy to walk too as not hilly and between holes distance is short mostly. Pace is good and can finish the 18 holes walking in around 4 hours. Driving range is opened and drinks are available outside clubhouse and at course. Overall speaking, a very well maintained course with friendly staff and service facilities. A good surprise and will come back.
Goreway Golf Club
Played On 07/23/2020Think the rain helped to improve the course
The rain did soften the course a bit and the fairways and greens are better than most previous reviews. However, many greens still have brown patches with no grass and the staff placed the pin on those green portion of the green to avoid the brown patches. It will take time to regrow. Some fairway areas are quite muddy but for walking, one can avoid those muddy areas. It's a long course and has to bring out all your clubs to test your skill. 560 yards par 5 and 400 yards+ par 4 and 200 yards par 3 are not easy to deal with. Finished within two hours as not many players around. Staffs are well mannered and check in is quick and easy. Depending on what type of players you are, this course may or may not be of interest as condition is still below par and scenery is so so. But this is a formal 9 hole course and can spend less than two hours to enjoy. Not a bad alternative.
Royal Stouffville Golf Course
Played On 06/30/2020Better course than before
Haven't played this course for quite some time. Noted the paved car path which is a good improvement to avoid dusty air when go after another cart.Fairways and greens are up to standard and is not too difficult as playing white tee. Staff is very friendly and beverage cart is always around to provide drinks when needed. Pace is a bit slow but still acceptable. Overall speaking, a nice course worth going back if price is good.
Angus Glen Golf Club - North
Played On 06/09/2020Nice course worth playing again
A very hot day but due to Covid-19, no cold bottle water provided as usual. Course is well maintained but has to follow the GPS controlled power cart which limit how close one gets to the green. It is quite far away so has to walk a little under the hot sun and slow down the pace. May change the distance limit as the current one is too far away.
Mill Run Golf Club - Championship Grist/Wheel Course
Played On 06/01/2020Good course and friendly staff
Very well maintained as usual and teamed up with a friendly couple. Pace was fast as each person has a power cart. Finished 18 holes in 3.5 hours. Due to Covid19 bunkers have no racks n no score card. Still a very enjoyable day with excellent weather.
Angus Glen Golf Club - South
Played On 05/26/2020Course well maintained with friendly staff
Terribly hot today but still enjoy playing this course. No score card and the hole distance marks have not been put up yet. But the GPS provided the detailed info of each hole. The green is a bit slow probably the grass grew pretty fast. Bunker no racks and allowed to drop if you like. Each person has a power cart and pace of play is good. Can finish in 4 hours for foursome. Rough is thick as usual and fairways in good shape. So no complaints.
Lionhead Golf and Country Club - Legends
Played On 10/09/2019A quality course testing your skill
The Legend course is pretty demanding and requires every bit of your skill to conquer it. However, the scenery can help to alleviate your frustration if any during your play. The course is well maintained except the aeration done on the green and the staff did alert us several days before the play to avoid any bad feelings. There are falling leaves around at this time of the season but the staff is busy blowing them away which we appreciate very much. The club house personnel are very polite and friendly and the starter is really humorous making the mood before tee off very relaxing. This is a plus for any golf course.
Mill Run Golf Club - Championship Grist/Wheel Course
Played On 09/30/2019Still in good shape
The course is well maintained and in good shape. The scenery is good and think may be a week or two later, the autumn leaves will make it even prettier. The greens are still quite fast and the rough are starting to be covered by fallen leaves which may make looking for balls a bit harder. Pace of play is good as not that many players now.
Remington Parkview Golf and Country Club - Upper
Played On 09/24/2019Still in good shape
Fairways showed some brown patches but do not affect the overall play. Greens are in good condition and pace of play is acceptable. Some tee platforms are becoming harder and need improvement. A very friendly course and roughs were all trimmed down making ball easier to find and quicken the pace of play which is good to average players. Staff is very polite and friendly and is the reason for me to come back.
Woodington Lake Golf Club - Legacy Course
Played On 09/11/2019Course needs improvement
This course needs more work to improve the condition. Car paths in particular are in terrible shape. Bunkers are soaked in waters. Fairways and greens not too bad but the course is not worth the price yet.
Bradford Highlands Golf Club
Played On 09/05/2019Still a good course except a bit slow play
The front nine is more challenging with better view and landscape. Greens are good but some fairways and tee platform need better maintenance. Saw the staff repairing the tee platform which is good and hope can be up to standard soon. Refreshment cart is always there to serve and appreciate it. It is not a difficult course and will offer lots of fun for average players.
Hello, grouphero1688. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give Bradford Highlands Golf Club another try in the near future.
Lakeridge Links Golf Course
Played On 09/02/2019Car path needs better maintenance
First time playing this course this season. Overall course condition is fairly good after the overnight and morning rain. Greens are pretty fast even after the rain and some fairways have plenty of brown patches throughout which make it doesn't look too good. Worse thing is the car path which apart from being uneven, have plenty of holes as well which make it very bumpy and one has to be very careful. Staff are very friendly and the refreshment cart is a welcome feature. This course can be much better with better maintenance as the view is pretty and has the quality to become top rated course.
Thank you for the feedback! The day you played was certainly extremely wet on the course due to heavy rains received. Because of this, our maintenance staff was unable to get the equipment on the course to blow leaves. Typically this is a daily job in Fall, usually done throughout the entire day to keep the course clear.
We know it is not ideal to play golf with a course covered in leaves but sometimes Mother Nature wins the battle!
Thanks again for the comment, we hope to see you out again sometime this Fall.
