Ridgeview Ranch Golf Club
Played On 03/31/2020Ridgeview Ranch
Glad to see that the course is open during the pandemic. Thank you to the staff!!! They are taking precautions to keep guests safe like removing rakes and water coolers. Conditions on the course are beginning to get into spring shape. Even with the amount of rain we have received recently it's in decent shape. It's a fun layout with some short par 4s and large greens on the par 3s. No pace of play issues.
Can't wait to play here again.
Oak Hollow Golf Course
Played On 03/26/2020Oak Hollow
Thank you to Oak Hollow for remaining open during this time. Upon arriving I was told that the carts are sanitized before every round and that it's 1 person per cart. I can not give the staff enough credit! Everyone I spoke with was extremely friendly and more than willing to discuss new protocols for keeping you and the staff safe.
With that being said, the course is currently in rough shape. The greens are very bumpy and have a bunch of brown spots. I'm not sure if they are re-sanding the bunkers on, I believe #17 or removing them. It was hard to tell the difference between fairway and rough, due to dormant/dead grass on fairways. Now with that being said, I saw Greens and Grounds staff all over the course, so they are working on the issues. Im sure of two things, one I will play Oak Hollow again in a few months. Two, the course will be in much better shape.
Hello TheOBchef. Thank you for taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass along your feedback to the staff so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting us!
Twin Creeks Golf Course
Played On 03/23/2020Twin Creeks
Twin Creeks is starting to get into spring shape. Fairways are becoming green and tee boxes are in good shape. The greens in great shape for this time of year. Played after a heavy rain and was cart path only, still got done in under four hours.
Coyote Ridge Golf Club
Played On 03/05/2020Coyote Ridge
The two course condition factors I look at during winter golf season, greens and bunkers. Both of these are in great shape at Coyote Ridge. The course layout is challenging with forced carries, narrow fairways and just enough water to make you second guess a club selection. It's a great course, can't wait to get out there again.
Fantastic! Thank you for your kind words. We hope to see you again at the course very soon for another 5-star experience. Thanks for choosing Coyote Ridge Golf Club.
Heritage Ranch Golf and Country Club
Played On 02/04/2020Heritage Ranch
The course has wide open fairways but that may be the only easy part of it's design. It's layout has well placed bunkers and other hazards that make club selection key. The greens are in great winter shape, no real issues there. They are currently replacing and reworking some of the bunkers. They should be completed by the end of February. No issues with pace of play, which can be an issue here.
Texas Star Golf Course
Played On 01/13/2020Texas Star
The course is in fantastic winter shape. Texas Star is a superior course in the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex! The layout allows multiple ways to approach a lot of the holes. I could not get over the immaculate shape of the greens! It is almost hard to believe that this is a public course. Always a great round at Texas Star!
Ridgeview Ranch Golf Club
Played On 01/02/2020Ridgeview Ranch
Ridgeview Ranch is in good winter condition. All the staff that I came into contact with were very pleasant. The bunkers and greens are in great shape and the pace of play is normally above average. I always have a great experience at this track.
Thanks for leaving us a review, OB. We look forward to seeing you again next time!
Mesquite Golf Course
Played On 04/29/2020Mesquite Golf Club
Mesquite has recently reopened under some new protocols. No rakes, water coolers, or sand bottles. The course itself is in good shape overall. The greens have some tricky insulation that sneaks up on you. It's a fun layout with some short par 5s, narrow fairways and forced carries. Pace of play normally isn't an issue at Mesquite.
Mesquite Golf Course
Played On 04/29/2020Mesquite Golf Club
The course reopened on April 25 and is in good shape. They have implemented some social distancing protocols so check out their website for further details. I really enjoy the layout at Mesquite. There are some forced carries, narrow fairways and enough OB areas to make this course interesting. The greens have some undulations and are currently very quick
Bridges - The Masters at Firewheel Golf of Garland
Played On 09/06/2019Bridges course
The fairways, bunkers and tee box are in good shape. Some native Texas grass has invaded some of the greens, but nothing that will ruin your round. Of the three Firewheel courses, the Lakes Course is in the best shape.
Canyon Springs Golf Club
Played On 08/17/2019Canyon Springs
First time on this track and left very impressed. Our two-some was put together with two members and it could not have worked out better. Their knowledge of the course made the round even more enjoyable. The course itself is in great shape. The greens are in good shape, only a few questionable spots. The staff is very friendly and are more than happy to answer any questions. The only negative I would say is, that the course seemed to be over watered in some areas. I can not wait to come back and play here again!
The Quarry Golf Course
Played On 08/16/2019The Quarry
The course is in great shape from tee to green. The greens are in unbelievably great shape for this time of year! The heat can be a bit much when playing this time of year so stay hydrated.
Coyote Ridge Golf Club
Played On 08/05/2019Coyote Ridge
For starters the sand traps are in fantastic shape! I spent a good part of my day in them so I am very familiar with their condition. The rest of the course is also in very good shape. A few fairways are starting to suffer from the summer heat, but nothing that takes away from the enjoyment of the round. Played in under 4 hours and can not wait to go back.
Awesome! Thank you so much for the great review. We are glad you had an incredible time, and we hope to see you again soon! Thanks for choosing Coyote Ridge Golf Club.
The Golf Club At Fossil Creek
Played On 08/01/2019Fossil Creek
Played here twice and a week and from Tee to Green the course is in great shape! The greens are surprisingly fast for this time of year. Some risk/reward holes make the layout extremely fun and ball placement key.
Eldorado Country Club
Played On 07/01/2019Eldorado Country Club
From start to finish this is a classically designed course focusing on bunkering and small greens. Narrow fairways and thick rough make this course a real challenge. Currently the course is in good shape. A fee greens have some repair needs, but nothing that would make you not enjoy your round.
Queens at Gleneagles Country Club
Played On 06/17/2019Queens Course at Gleneagles
Its very impressive to see a course of this caliber in the middle of Plano. Even with 3 inches of rain the night before, the course was in great shape! We tee'd off at 8:30 and it was hard to find issues with the course. Kudos to the Greens and Grounds crew! The air conditioned rest rooms on the course and the ice towels are always a welcome sight in Texas.
The Queens course has plenty of water and expertly placed bunkers through out to challenge your shot making ability. The greens are in pristine shape.. Hope to play here again!
Lake Park Golf Course - Championship Course
Played On 06/14/2019Lake Park
Course is in good shape. This is great course to work on your game. There is very little OB and only 4 ponds on property so you really have to try to lose a ball. Its a great value, with very reasonable rates even on the weekends. Check out the golf scooters they have available for rent!
The Courses at Watters Creek - Traditions Course
Played On 06/05/2019Traditions Course
The Traditions Course is in good shape from tee to green. One green (#17) is under partial repair, but its no reason not to book a round here. A piece of advice, stock up before you tee off. You do not come back to the clubhouse until the end of the round. The last two times playing here, the beverage cart was not out.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! We always value the input of our golfers, and we are happy to see you had a good experience.
Ridgeview Ranch Golf Club
Played On 06/03/2019Ridgeview Ranch
From tee to green the course is in good shape. Overall its a fun course, with a couple of drivable par 4's and a par 3 that has an elevated tee box that makes club selection key. Ridgeview Ranch is always a solid choice for your round of golf.
Thanks for the great review, we're glad to hear you enjoyed your time at Ridgeview Ranch. Be sure to book another round with us soon!
The Golf Club at Champions Circle
Played On 04/01/2019The Golf Club at Champions Circle
The course is deceptively difficult especially when the wind is up. Currently the course is replacing two holes with two that are currently under construction. This course could be a top course in DFW with a bit of work. Not all the green and bunkers are in bad shape, more than a few on the front need some attention.
Hello. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give us another try in the near future.
Thank you for visiting us at Ridgeview Ranch Golf Club. We appreciate your 4-star rating and review. We hope you join us for another round soon.
