The course has a lot of character. Played for the first time and was impressed. Strategic shot making is key for this track. There was no beverage cart so you may need to stock up at the clubhouse. Greens and bunkers are in excellent shape!

Course was overall in good shape. Still pumping out water from flooding. Greens in great shape, will play here again.

A very well maintained courses from tee to green. Well worth the drive from Dallas. This course is in the top five best courses in the state! Will play here again.

This is the easiest of the three fire wheel courses. Its in good shape for the time of year. Will play here again.

Sand traps are in top condition, as well as the greens. Some of the tee boxes need some attention. Overall the course is somewhat challenging with the water and sand trap placement.

This links style course is a gem in the Metroplex. The greens are in superb shape, fast but still fair. Bunkers dot the fairways so accuracy is key on this track as well. Golf purist will love the stone/dirt cart paths and smaller flags. Playing here you actually forget that you are in the Dallas area. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, especially Matt. He took the time to give us a tour of the area and answered all our questions. If I lived in The Colony I would join The Old American in a second!

The greens are in pristine condition as well as the rest of the course. Some area courses do not look this good in the summer let alone in early February. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I was informed there was no beverage cart which is always good to know. The course itself is fantastic! It was a bit soggy from rain the night before, but not to the point to where its muddy. I would play here again.

The course is in good shape, except for a few bunkers. Wide fairways (for the Hilton Head area) make this a good course for a "less stress" golf outing.

After years of financial troubles it seems that its making a comeback. The course is in decent shape overall. This is not a "must play" course in the Hilton Head area, however it is very enjoyable.

The greens and fairways are both in excellent shape. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I try to play this course every time I am in the area. Worth the drive if you are staying on the island.

When it was and 18 hole course it was great! In it current shape; bare spots, poor sand traps and dead greens makes you want to avoid this course.

The marshals are very present on the course and kept the slower groups moving.

I was surprised how nice this course is. Kudos to the new management company on turning this property around. There were a few tee boxes in need of some care, however those are an easy fix.

If you are staying at Barton Creek I highly recommend playing this course. The staff is top notch! The course is in great condition. It is not hard drive, however having directions was reassuring.

The course is nicely laid out with some very challenging holes. I am not sure if I would have been as pleased if I paid full price for the round.
