This is just a beautiful layout , and really is a great golf course. It's early now, and the greens are in rough shape, with number 4 appearing dead.
When the grass starts to grow a bit more, take a ride out and enjoy this course!

Firstly what a great course. Laid out beautifully with great piece of property!
Greens and fairways perfect!

Now the negative:
Directly adjacent to a working quarry. That being said, if the wind is blowing toward the course, an incredible amount of dust on you and your vehicle.
Also, with no wind, the noise sure does detract from the whole experience.

Perfect greens, and zosia fairways make SC a great place to play. Can't wait to try it again with winds less than 30mph!!

Great course, fine challenge...

Now the bad...
Need better management of your 27 holes. You can't double tee every nine. Impossible. Makes it miserable for everyone. Someone needs to take control of the 5 hr rounds....

Great course, in great shape, very fun to play, but it does have some difficult holes, and I'm wondering if that is what made the pace of play so slow?
It was slow enough that we should have seen a ranger, but we didn't. We waited from hole 2 on. When we got to number 8, the par 3 over water there were 4 groups. Unacceptable. This was a Wednesday, so I cannot imagine how slow this would be on a weekend.

Worth the drive. Has a lot of character. It was extremely windy the day we played, and that really made it play long. Teh Lake course is in great shape, but as of this writing, our view of the desert course is that it really needs a lot of work.

Do yourself a favor and go play the Lion. Lots of challenge here for all players. Pick teh right tee boxes, and enjoy this beautiful course.
One note:
The tee box markers are not the most clear. Might not be a bad idea to ask about them before you play.
The blacks (tips) are a white outline marker, and from a distance look a lot like the next two in....

Lot of different lies to challenge your shotmaking ability. The folks here are always friendly, and the greens are in great shape...
Fairways are still dormant, as they are everywhere this time year.

I got there early, as rain was predicted, and was hoping to get out early. The pro shop worked me in within thirty minutes. Dennis the starter, is one of the nicest guys you'l meet. He kept the pace going, and took care of a "problem" group behind us.
The "problem" group was a threesome that were regulars on this course, and did not think we were playing fast enough. One of the guys rode up, as if he were the marshall (on 8), and preceded to tell us we were slowing them down. Our foursome finished the front in 1:50, and we told Dennis what the guy had done. Dennis told us he had already gotten a call from them, and he told them to back off, we were ahead of pace. Anyway, that was a nice gesture, and it made the round for me .

The course itself is pretty open, so you can get away with wayward drives. Wait for 18; It's beautiful!

Nice golf course, with plenty of challenge. The greens had been sanded the day I played, but they still rolled pretty well. One thing I did notice about this course is it may have some drainage issues if we get a lot of rain....

Really nice driving range and practice area....

Not a bad course by any means, but just nothing memorable, or special. The driving range is pretty limited, and the putting green is placed across the entrance from the clubhouse. Just odd.

There is a lot of good golf in central Florida, and this one is just a so-so course. I would play here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Came out as a single, and was readily welcomed by the starter , Bill. DI has plenty of challenge if you play the proper tees. The greens and fairways were in great shape.
I would definitely come out and play this track again.....

I know this may be a drive for some of us, but take the time and go play this course. There are three nines, and it is just a beautiful setting for a golf course.

This is an old style course. Fairways head one direction, and then come back. You can hit the ball all over the place and still score. It has some long holes,but it really is a pretty easy course. If you're just learning, this is a good place to play.

Beautiful piece of property, and just a beautiful golf course. Meanders through a housing community, but most of the time, you don't realize it. None of the house are close enough to make it feel like a subdivision course.

I guess all the golf courses in the Pinehurst area are great, but this one is definitely worth playing. The course itself isn't extremely tough, but the greens make up for any perceived "easy holes". Lots of undulation. They had over seeded on 11-5, so it was cart path, but this means it will be in gorgeous shape in a month or so.

The wind was howling the day i played and LF broughtme to my knees. I'd like a chane for revenge on a calmer day. This is a great course withnlots of personality. When you finish you will remember tyhis course. No houses, so that is aleays a plus for me. Look at thedate this was posted, because the greens had been recently aerated , so give it a couple more weeks to heal.

Starts with a warm greeting in the clubhouse, and then just got better. Not the longest of courses, but a fair test.

Easily walkable.
Out far enough from the hustle and bustle to make it an experience.
