Palms at Palm-Aire Country Club
About
The Palms Golf Course is a tract that locals and visitors alike just love to play. Originally designed by William Mitchell in 1962, the Palms was completely renovated by Karl Litton and Lorie Viola in 1996.
The accommodating fairways make it easier to hit your tee shots in play. Once on the 'dance floor', the Bermuda greens roll true and quick.
The Palms Course has a number of picturesque water hazards. As its name would indicate, the Palms features lovely native Palm trees throughout the course.
It is most definitely a true Florida golf course and one, which everybody should put on their 'must play' list .

Greens Great, Starter Not So Much
Arrived early to hit a small bucket at the range. Gentleman in the Pro Shop was very helpful and checked us in efficiently. Grabbed a cart and started heading towards the driving range when the "Starter" popped out of nowhere (since he wasn't at the starter station) and stopped us rudely after making the assumption we were using the cart just to drive to the range. After showing him the starting ticket he let us continue. Fairways were okay with grass types mixed. Greens were in really good shape and fast. Pace of play was slow taking us over 2 1/2 hours to play the front 9. Never once saw a Marshall or Starter come by to keep the foursome ahead of us moving despite them having an entire whole ahead of them. They eventually let us play thru around the 11th or 12th hole. Never saw a Marshall on the back nine as well. Overall good value for the money when compared to the other courses in the area. They need to work on the pace of play and clubhouse amenities though if they are looking for more regulars.
Palms on the palms
We played in the breezy, cool conditions that had the Palmfroms falling all over the place. We had a lot of fun with the wind hit 280+ with the wind and 180 against it.
Course was good, greens pretty fast. We had lost of fun. Didn't see a beverage cart so plan accordingly.
Palms away
Loved the course, and the greens are in great condition.
Tee boxes are in okay shape.
Lots of water to avoid, and the shallow creek’s are murky enough to be unable to find a ball that goes into them.
Love the Hot Dogs available at the turn.
Plenty of bathrooms on the course too.
Overall a great place to golf at, and my wife enjoyed it too.
Good value
The course is challenging with holes that require some course management skills. Greens and bunkers require a bit more maintenance but overall it is a good value for the price of 18 holes.
Added to our play again list
The course was in great shape and pace of play was fine. We played in 4:15. Course is a fair test of your game and doesn’t punish you severely for missed shots. Greens were in great shape and were fairly quick. Overall course conditions were very good. My wife and I will definitely play here again.
a little pricey for the course. but overall in good condition.
You can check un just 15 minutes before your teetimes, don’t be too early.
If you pay $40 you enjoy thé course but not more
Old but good especially for the price.
Good course. The club house and facilities were dated and needed some upgrades, but the most important part, the course was great. The 1st, 9th, 18th were peppered by driving range balls from errant hooks and slices from the range. Other than that, the course is great. The greens are smooth and fast. The rough is cut so you don’t spend all day looking for the your ball. The fairways are very well kept and the layout is challenging but playable from a beginner level (me) or a previous pro (my golf partner. The staff is great and friendly. Can’t wait to come back.
Updates Desperately Needed
The course has great potential, but it has aged. The parking lot, clubhouse, restaurant all look like they were last updated 20-30 years ago. Of the 6 courses we played in Southern Florida, this was the most disappointing. Also, they charged $11 for a transfusion at the turn. Why take advantage of someone like that… won’t be back.
