The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Orlando, Grande Lakes

The course was in beautiful condition, especially the greens, nice and fast. The practice facility was great and a well stocked pro shop. Staff inside were very friendly, the outside staff were okay.

Great expierence from the time you drop off your golf bag. Staff very accomodating from pro shop to the first tee. Practice facility second to none, course conditions were fantasic with the greens as true as can be played. Will definately be back just gotta watch GOLFNOW for better rates than regular rack rate. Truly a pleasure to play

Its a good course, something was missing to make it great. For a course that priced higher, I would have expected some free stuff.. like a bag tag .. divot tool .. some token.

The greens were in great shape though, the best I've played on for a long time.

Pace of play was brisk. The course conditions were perfect except the edges of some greens were spotty. The greens were very fast and difficult to read. The scenery and wildlife were an added bonus. Great afternoon!

Good course and good service. Conditions were excellent - all surfaces were above average. Nice practice area. Carts were fast! The only real detraction is the glaring lack of a decent GPS or yardage books. With no pictures of any holes, you often don't know where to hit it or where you can miss it. For a course of this quality, it's hard to believe they'd miss that detail.

Perfect condition. Very friendly and helpfull staff. The couse layout is easy to play on with wide smooth fairways and plenty of roll. The greens were also fast. My favorite course in Orlando.

The course was in immaculate shape despite some unfavorable weather early in the day. The staff was friendly enough, but the course is missing an opportunity to provide the type of customer service you would expect from a Ritz Carlton. Only one cart person working the course, despite having 150 golfers out for the day...

Service was top notch, course was pristine and very forgiving, greens are the quickest you'll likely play all year. Not sure i would ever pay the $195 regular fee but i played it on a hot deal and was well worth it. Norm at bag drop was great as was the on course concierge, forget his name but very friendly throughout the round.

Immaculate conditions from clubhouse to practice facility and throughout the course. Firm but fair greens roll smooth and true at what I would call a moderate pace. Fairly long with wide fairways protected by a lot of bunkers and enough water to make this more of a 'thinking' course than a 'grip it and rip it course. A lot of 'photo ops'. The day I played damp gusts over 30 mph and the normal demands of the course combined to give me one of the most challenging and exciting rounds I've played in a long time.

The greens where hard and fast. A delightful challenge.

In the style of the Ritz-Carlton this course is just impeccable to play. I enjoyed every hole and there are some tough holes out there, but the conditions of the course make playing your best a little easier. Fairways are lush and the greens perfect. I can't wait to play this course again.

Played 1/9/13. Nice track, typical resort course with wide fairways that speeds up play. Great practice facility. Greens were firm with decent speed. For someone coming from NY escaping the cold, this was a great course to get my first round of the trip in - the golfnow price was a big discount. There are other courses that are better value. I believe the price tag keeps play down which means pace is faster. I was sent out as a single but decide to join a husband/wife twosome and we still played under 4 hours. The Father Son Challenge was played there in December.

I believe that this course has the fastest, smoothest greens in Central Florida (13.5). They happen to be protected by many large, elevated bunkers. Please take an extra club or two on your approach shots or you will get lots of practice coming out of sand bunkers. The course has water on most of the holes and every hole is unique. The staff is very attentive and customer oriented. Grande Lakes is a special place that should be experienced at least once by those who truly love the game.

The course is challenging without being overly penalizing. Like other reviewers have stated, the greens are fast and tricky. It is very well kept. AA++

Ritz is one of the best managed courses in Florida. I played with my kid, who is twelve, all the staff are kindly and eager to help. This course has a good cost / benefit ratio, it is a must go.
