Nice course
Very busy on the day we played but pace was good. Course was very dry as we've had no rain for weeks but conditions were good.
This course was in great shape.
With this hot and dry summer I thought this course was in great shape. Playing from the blue tees offered a good challenge. The greens were soft and receptive.
RUDE old guy running the place
Pulled up Ito the corse on a Friday afternoon. I was expecting a busy course. It was the opposite. There were 7 cars in the parking lot. My twin 10 year old boys were excited to play without pressure to play quick.
The guy at the counter didn't greet me. He looked at my kids and said, "they can't play." I asked what and he said they weren't old enough to drive a cart. I told him they were riding with me, like we have been doing since they were 5 years old at course all over they area. No one ever said that we couldn't do that. Well, this guy did. I said, look, the place is empty and I think it would benefit your course to get kids excited about golf. In his rude demeanor, he said no.
I took my boys to Timberwood a few miles away. The course was busy. My boys walked to the clubhouse with me afraid they wouldn't let them play. I asked the guy how much would it cost for me and my boys to play. He said $28 for you and nothing for them. Unreal. What a difference in how we were treated. I will never ever go back to Richond Forest. We will continue to support Timberwood!
Great value, fun course and very friendly staff
When we pulled into the course we had reservations of the course, after that first impression it was all good! Very friendly staff, tee to green was in excellent condition, greens were in great shape but do wish they were a little faster. Really was an excellent afternoon of fun golf in a park like setting.
beautiful
great course the greens are fantastic love playing here
Richmond Forest
Love this course! Outstanding value and course is always well kept. Nice layout to.
Still a great course
I haven't played RF in a few years and it's stilled very well maintained and very challenging
not bad but too slow
The course itself and the staff were very good.. However we had a 2some and got caught behind gross of 4 that refused to let us play through which held us up quit a bit as well as through us of our game.. Because of this I probably won't come back anytime soon.
Way too many people , slow play
I had a tee time at 2PM.
There was way too many people on the course with no starter or ranger to regulate pace of play.
Took a long time to play one hole.
Won't go back until they do something about it.
Painful.
Good
This is a nice course in March, so I would hope in peak months this would be a really nice course to play.
Very attractive course, good condition.
Pace of play was main problem. Male foursome ahead of us constantly chatted on the tee with nobody ahead of them - while we waited. Later, a threesome took phone breaks mid-fairway. On-course management definitely needed!
Fun Fall Round
All in all the course was in good shape. Mother nature provided 20 MPH winds which made the par 5's on the front side real difficult. The greens were a bit spike worn but that happens with the rain that we had..
water
the course was fun to play and was quite challenging overall. it was well taken care of and still casual. we enjoyed ourselves. and we were glad we all played sick from work and bonded
Keeps you on your Toes
Excellent layout -- tees for all skill levels. This course always gets me on a couple of holes but not the courses fault. Good challange of skill - good shots are rewarded.
Challenging to a point.
Nice course, lanscaping is very upscale, amazing scenery. Good times.
Nice wooded course
Great value for amount paid on golfnow. For a novice like myself good starter course
Great bang for the buck
Can't be beat for the money. Course is great but facility is a bit underwhelming
Very nice
This was the first time I golfed this course and i only got a chance to play the front 9 but if the back 9 is anything like the front it would definitely be worth it to play a complete round
Green
The condition of the course is excellent with the exception of the greens. I am unsure of the reason for their condition issues, but they do need to be addressed. In all fairness, people that play the course need to repair their ball marks, which is oart of the problem.
Bang for the Buck
Booked on Golfnow for $18.50 to ride 18. Excellent bargain. This course is always in great shape. Greens roll nice. Course provides challenges when deciding which club to hit. Enough trees and water to make you think.
How do you safely secure 3 bags into 2 rear straps on the carts? It's also obvious that carts are designed for only 2 riders regardless of age. Did you think about walking the course?
So nice that you are teaching your kids how to play golf, but don't forget the rules of golf.
Golfers really need to remember the rules so others aren't upset either. Does Timberwood still allow smoking in the building.?
In reference to the rude old guy running the place:
It is not the courses practice to respond to reviews by its customers as it somehow seems to defeat the purpose of the reviews. The course will not comment on the manner in which it was perceived that you were serviced. The course will address the safety issue. It is the courses policy as well as Club Cart and our insurer that no more than 2 people will be allowed per seat. Club car golf carts have this printed in all of there carts.
