Best Course Between Cincinnati & Dayton
I've been playing this course for 15+ years. It's the best course between Cincinnati & Dayton...Top 5 course in all of southern Ohio. Well maintained...you can be very agressive because the fairways & greens are well watered (soft). After 3pm, the fairways & greens firm up.
Great practice range & 2 excellent putting greens that prep you adequately for play.
I love this course!
An enjoyable round of golf at Walden Pond
Our tee time was at 12:45 p.m. However, we were able to tee off at 12:30 p.m. A foursome of senior men teed off before us. They were taking too much time hitting balls more than once and spraying the ball all over the place so we skipped the first hole (#10) and went on to #11. We never saw them again the whole round. Not only that, we are four senior women who can hit the ball and move at a fast pace. Did not encounter any other golfers in front of us. A good time to play golf.
course is fun to play
course was in great shape. Many improvements have been made over the past 7 years. I belong to another club but I will play this a couple times a month, thinking about joining next year.. Pro shop staff not very friendly no greeting,...well might.have been a bad day, the only negative all day..
Great Course, Extremely Slow Play
Played this course for the umpteenth time. As usual course was in very good condition with fast and true greens and lush fairways. Layout is interesting and wide fairways suit my wildness with a driver.
Very disappointed with the pace of play, particularly for a non-holiday Monday and the lack of concern by the clubhouse staff. Exactly 5 hours to play a weekday late morning round is simply silly. Our threesome saw people quit at the turn and get rain checks, simply quit in disgust and go home, play 14 holes and quit, etc. When the front 9 took nearly 2 and half hours, we alerted the clubhouse that there was a couple hole gap in front of the offending foursome. Their response was basically to laugh it off. The course wasn't close to being crowded, there was no outing or special event, just slow, discourteous play on the part of one group. Surely the course staff can do better to police this. One more weekday round like that with no action by the clubhouse and we're done with Walden Ponds. Plenty of other lightly played courses during the week in our area.
Great day
Had a great round with my son this is the only course we play.
Walden Ponds Evening 9
First time to Walden in about 10 years and only for 9 holes. The overall conditions were not as good as I remembered from the early days. lots of crab grass and dandelions everywhere, more than expected.
friends outing
course was in good shape, and perfect for our group meeting to play a round and discuss business
Winter golf
Played in February and the course was in fairly good condition, as were the greens. Got started close to tee time even though it was foggy early in the day. Course was crowded, but we finished in about 4.5 hrs. Can't beat a summer like day in February
Walden
Walden is a pretty straight forward course. No matter your skill level it is challenging but fun. You don't really have to to much thinking...Just hit it since it's not very penalizing
11-18-2016 tee time
I've been playing for quite some time and I have never seen this kind of sand in the bunkers in my life , the sand is way to fine with no texture other than that playing golf and February and a nice day can't complain
Walden Ponds
considering winter in Ohio, the course was in nice shape. Very playable despite the wet season here.
Course seems to drain well and is playable when others are not

Awesome course- Horrible Assistants
The head pro here is great. Friendly and understands the value of die hard and loyal customers. The 2 assistants are angry at the world, rude, and have no business being in a position of servicing customers. I've played this course since the week it opened and has always been in great shape and one of the nicest public courses in town. This course is fair and a great test of golf for all levels. Plays over 7000 yards from the tips.
11-18-2016 tee time
Booked online tee time 1.21 we started at 1.00 and was told we have to be off the course by 5 , was told our time was a daylight savings rate ,that wasn't the case , felt rushed . Ended up getting done at 5.20 course was backed up , don't know why they booked so man times that way .for a full 18 hole rate . 11-18-2016 tee time
The course was in excellent condition
This course is a 45 minute dtive for me but it was well worth it! I highly recommend it
Very enjoyable round!!
We started at 12:45...following 2 hours of rain. They allowed carts off the paths, which was key. Finished in less than 4 hours. The fairways and greens were smooth and full (didn't see any burnt areas). Course is spread out through a nice neighborhood. Bunkers were wet, but they were in great condition. I drove 53 miles (one way) to play Walden Ponds, and I will do it again this year!
