The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Orlando, Grande Lakes
About
The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Orlando, Grande Lakes sits along the pristine headwaters of the Florida Everglades, surrounded by live oaks, towering pines, and palmettos. Two-time British Open Champion Greg Norman designed the golf course. He and his team focused on preserving the area's natural beauty and ecosystem. The ponds, wetlands, and mature trees were carefully protected and incorporated into the challenges of the design. The final result blends in so seamlessly it's as though the golf course had been there all along. Norman's commitment to the environment was recognized with the course's certification as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. The player-friendly layout has wide fairways and generous landing areas but the subtly contoured greens and strategically placed hazards will keep you on your toes. Five sets of tees make the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Orlando, Grande Lakes even more accessible to players of any skill level.

green
carottage des greens ils devraient prévenir avant et baisser les prix quand les greens sont dans cette condition
Good course but not the best.
Got a deal on the rate $95 instead of $195. Facilities was excellent and I took advantage of that before I played. Staff was really friendly. Fairways was beautiful and so lush. But the greens had been sanded, they were still very fast and true. The bunkers were a let down a lot of them had very compacted hard sand in them.
The course is not that difficult to play. Overall a nice course but summing it up, for the rate to play this there are better courses in the Orlando area.
freshly sanded
Although the course is excellent I wish I had known the greens were just sanded I drove over an hour to play there. Other than that no complaints, if you hit a fade you'll love the layout
Dissappointed, but will give it another try!
The staff was nice, but no one mentioned that the greens had been topdressed that morning or that it was cart path only. I was a single and was not paired with anyone even though two threesomes went out before me. Luckily, I was able to join up with a twosome. It took 5 hours to play 18 holes. No marshall on course. The sandtraps were the worst I have seen in Orlando. I can't believe for the cost to play here that they are in that bad of shape. The rest of the course was in great shape. Course was challenging, but enjoyable. I would play it again.
Couldn't Be Better
Stayed at the JW Marriot last week and was able to play the course. Hit balls in the AM and came back with the wife for our afternoon round. Between Ryan in the pro shop, Robin at the bag drop and Todd our caddie we had probably one of the best golf days in recent memory. Course was a 10. Played in 3.25 hours. Todd helped out often (especially the wife). Practice area was immaculate. A little pricey but if you take into consideration the conditions and service it was all well worth it.
Ritz on 4/1
Nice course. Very much what you'd expect, i.e., it looks like a Florida course. Good conditions. Pace of play was abysmal. 5 hours. We were a foursome and best I could tell we were the only foursome on the course. Rather than pairing people with one another, we were forced to continually wait and allow singles and twosomes to play through. A total of 5 groups played through. Frustrating.
Impeccable
A place beyond my income bracket made doable by a golf now deal; course was perfect, staff the best I've seen, down to providing me with a complimentary personalized bag tag mid way through the round. Thanks for the great day.
Excellent golf course
The course is beautiful and great design. Fast green and fairly wide fairways with many bunkers. Staffs were very friendly and understanding as we had difficulty finding the course.
First Class
Everything about this course is first class with the exception of its regular greens fee rates that are over $200. Far too expensive!
I played via GolfNow for $95, which was excellent.
Also there is no mandatory fore caddie required anymore. That is positive brcause it is an extra needless expense for my game.
The course was in great shape and the greens were fast and true. Pace of play was great with our foursome finishing in 4 hours. An overall positive experience.
Great Course
Top of the line golf course - beautiful everything from start to finish. Staff was very helpful and the clubhouse was amazing. A little pricey for the golf we play, but well worth it!
Decent Course, Expensive
The course was nice and in great shape. Greens were true and running fast! Pace of play was excellent. Price was a bit much. Paid 135 on Golfnow, which is a cheaper than normal price for this place. There are plenty of other courses in the area that are great for less than 100 bucks.
Windy, Slow Day
My father and I played the Ritz Carlton course in late January. The weather was unusually windy for this time of year making for an interesting / challenging day.
Overall, the course conditions were good and provided a decent value for the GolfNow price paid. The greens were particularly fast and challenging leading to a lot of unfortunate 3 putts.
I would recommend this course at the GolfNow rate. I am not sure I could venture to pay the full rate.
A true joy to play
I have played this course a few times and each time it appears to get better. The fairways are well manicured and the greens roll beautifully and FAST. What fun.
Walk and take a caddy. The caddy I had, Stuart, was fun and really knew how to get his player around the course. He was awesome in reading greens as well.
It's not cheap, but it is well worth the money.
Great course, great value
Course was in excellent condition, staff was great, pace was a little slow, but still finished in 4.5 hrs.
Golf As It Should Be Played
First off, the practice facility is absolutely amazing. You can hit the range, practice your chips, move some sand, and, of course, roll some putts. If you're staying at the hotel (JW, Ritz, Marriott Vacation Club), this is a good way to spend some practice time if you cannot go out to play.
Once you're out on the course, it's a fun & challenging round. Greens are running pretty fast - - amount of break on greens not as much as you think. On certain holes be aware of the false front and water surrounding the greens - what may seem like a well struck ball may not turn out that way. Pace of play was awesome (4 hrs.) as you would expect for a course and price point of this caliber.
I've played many courses in the Orlando area but this one always stands out with that pseudo country club feel. Try it once and you'll be back for more.
Do yourself a favor and go play!
One of the best golf experiences we have ever had. Very professional staff that went right with the fabulous condition of the golf course. Very fair and fun layout and the best greens I've experienced in Florida. Thanks so such to all the staff at the Ritz for giving as an awesome experience.
Great!!
An excellent practice facility started off a great experience. The course conditions are superb on a great layout which was easy to get around. Could use more information to help with course management (e.g., map for the holes, GPS that gives more than just distance to the hole), but overall the experience was great.
Great course
Great deal - love this course in orlando! Ask about junios playing for free.
Great course, playing partner, starter. Pro Shop staff very rude.
Had a ball.
A guy Rondeno who works there was wickedly nice. Pro shop staff were pretty rude to be honest.
Starter was amazing. Course was pristine. Playing partner, Mr. Hide, was a gentle man. Had a great bit of fun with him.
Overall, a perfect day ( besides the rude dudes in the Pro Shop )
Top Notch
Great course, great shape, great people! The staff was exceptional all around, especially the starter, Robin. Would definitely play again.
